Our History
Pamela Williams-Briggs
Pamela Williams-Briggs

W illiams Funeral Services is owned and operated by Pamela Williams-Briggs. Pamela is the daughter of the late Oliver A. and Ruth Anna Lee Williams. Pam is a graduate of Mansfield Malabar High School. She attended Knoxville College in Knoxville, Tennessee before enrolling in the John Gupton College of Mortuary Science in Nashville. She finished her Associates Degree in Mortuary Science in 1975 then became a licensed funeral director and embalmer in 1977. The David Gary Funeral Home was established in 1971 and began serving the community in 1972. Larry and Pamela Williams-Briggs purchased the establishment in 1981 and it became the Gary-Williams Funeral Home. One year later, the present name, Williams Funeral Services became known in the community.

On September 17, 2000 a new facility was dedicated. The Ruthanna Lee Williams Memorial Chapel was named in memory of my mother. Prior to their deaths, my parents were very much involved in supporting our dreams for the business. The new facility is located on the same property behind the original funeral home.

July 1, 2011 we celebrated 30 years of dedicated service to the Mansfield community.

Larry and I thank God, family, staff and the Mansfield community who believed in, and supported us.
