Raymond CALDWELL, 87, died Monday, at his home after an extended illness.
Mr. Caldwell was born to the late Charles Caldwell and Helen Williams Caldwell-Wallace in Elizabeth, New Jersey where he lived most of his life before moving to Mansfield 23 years ago. He was a former employee of American Cyanamet in New Jersey retiring after 21 years of service, an Army Veteran of World War II, and was a member of the Flying Jets, Royal Mounties, and the King Cobra Motorcycle Clubs.
Raymond is survived by 6 Sons: Herman (Laura) Caldwell with whom he made his home, Kenneth Caldwell of New York, New York, Richard (Mary), Ricky, and Paul Caldwell all of Elizabeth, New Jersey, and Fred Briddle of Roselle, New Jersey; 2 Brothers: Curtis Wallace of Roselle, New Jersey, and Ralph Wallace of Elizabeth; 4 Sisters: Doris Parker, and Patricia Wallace of Hillside, New Jersey, Ruth (Ulysses) Smith of Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey, and Shirley (Allan) Oliver of Linden, New Jersey; 26 Grandchildren, 39 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great Great Grandchildren, and numerous Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends.
In addition to his parents Raymond was also preceded in death by his wife Doris, and son Windale Caldwell.
Services:
Funeral services will be held Friday, at 12:00 noon in the Nesbitt Funeral Home, 165 Madison Ave.; Elizabeth, New Jersey 07201, where friends may call one hour prior to the funeral service. Interment will be in Rosedale Cemetery in Linden, New Jersey.
The family request that memorial contributions can be made to the Cancer Society or Hospice of North Central Ohio.
The family has selected Williams Funeral Services to assist them with local arrangements.
