Obituary:
Nettie Pearl WILLIAMS, 58, of 242 1/2 Sheridan Ave. died Saturday, in Regency Hospital of Columbus after an extended illness. Ms. Williams was born to the late John Samuel and Annie Lee Whitson Williams in Oakfield, Alabama and had lived in Mansfield the past 40 years. She was a former employee of Rogate Manufacturing. After the birth of her youngest son Nettie made the decision to become a dedicated mother focusing her attention to raising hers sons. Nettie who was also affectionately known as Skeeter is survived by her devoted Sons: Derick M. and Shanga D. Williams with whom she made her home; 5 Sisters: Sara McDaniel, Annie N. Williams, Emma Williams, and Hattie Williams all of Decatur, Alabama, and Clara Okie of Cleveland; 2 Brothers: Jimmie Williams, Prentiss Orr both of Decatur, Alabama; numerous nieces and nephews including Jamel Shaw of Mansfield. In addition to her parents Nettie was also preceded in death by 2 brothers Thomas McDaniel. and James Williams.

Services:
Friends may call on Wednesday from after 2 p.m. in the Ruth Anna Lee Williams Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Services where the family will receive friends from 6-8. Funeral services will be held Thursday, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel with Nettie's uncle, The Rev. Willard Whitson of the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church officiating . Interment will be in Mansfield Cemetery.
